Cleared a hurdle

Well, two days left at my old job...these past two weeks have dragged on and on and on...  The excitement of starting a new job is becoming more then I can bear, but I'll make it somehow.  I've just about finished all my projects and I prepared all the documentation to pass the torch to the next sucker..er guy!
In non-work related news, we did manage to get alot of wedding stuff taken care of and even managed to register at Hecht's (Kaufmann's of the south for you yankees!)  I don't get as excited about all the registering thing as Joni does, but it puts a smile on her face so I play along.  Out tax returns are on their way, I checked the status page a while ago and they should both (mine and Joni's) be deposited this Friday.  I think before we pay off the honeymoon I'll let it sit in savings and draw a little interest!
In technology news, Joni is working on some Java programming for an e-commerce class.  It takes advantage of java, xml, html and databases.  She was originally going to use the environment that NC State setup for their students, but I told her not to bother I could create a local environment that would suit her just as well.  Good thing I did, aparently the Oracle database server keeps crashing because of the students shitty programming and they all haven't been able to work on their projects for a few days now, but our server is going strong and taking the beating she throws at it!  I have to learn more about java, java servlets and jsp (java server pages) but I am dragging my feet.  I know just enough to be competent but not enough to be dangerous.  I tried to download the Java Services Web Developer pack, but Sun's site has been screwed up for the past three or four days and I can't get the servlets that I need to compile java web-apps.  Maybe, just maybe if I get good at it, I'll redo the site in java.  Then I can say that I did it!  Probably not, but ya never know
