Let me take this opportunity to warn you all now....If ever you are setting up a 4 casette DLT drive in Linux with 4 25GB tapes installed, DO NOT type 'mt erase'.  I've been watching this damn thing erase the tape I originally wanted wiped for the better part of three hours!  And as if erasing tape1 wasn't bad enough...un-beknownst to me, the DLT shuffled tapes and is now erasing tape2.  I don't have any data on any of them, but it will probably be sometime tomorrow morning before I can use this drive again....
In other news, I needed to run a package down to the UPS store today, so I boxed it all up nice and neatly, found the location of the closest store and walked out to the parking lot, grabbed my keys and attempted to use the remote entry to the car but got nothing.  I scratched my head and tried again (standing 6 inches from the car mind you) and still got nothing.  So I tried to lock it to see if the remote battery was dead, and got no beep so I figured that must be it...  I shuffle for the right key and insert it into the door and it won't open...it was right about then that I realized that Joni and I carpooled in today and she had the car at work with her.
That makes me quite nervous about working on the computer I have to fix tonight....and Jon should be too!
