Just got back from running, the first run in about three weeks.  I'm a little sore now, I'll admit (ok...a lot sore), but it'll get better as time goes on.  I was still able to do the whole two miles which impressed me considering the three week break.  I just have to keep stretching today so my muscles don't get so sore tomorrow I can't go again. 
    I finished the new church website last night and made it live, I'm sure their will be the need for a few tweaks here and there, but it's too difficult for me to manage two different versions of code with out some sort of CVS repository setup and the church website isn't exactly high enough priority to be setting up CVS.  Go take a look at it...some of the new features include a dynamic "last updated" module that will give the true reading of when the site was actually updated.  Through the use of style sheets, the site has been given a more uniform look, the style overrides any fonts that people try to specify in their posts (for the most part still a few that slip through, but I'll get 'em).  All in all I think it looks great!  Please go see it and give me your comments...I'm also thinking of some sort of "anonymous" suggestion box, I say it in quotes, because I won't require name or email address, but I'll be able to keep track of your IP address and service provider if anyone got any bright ideas about death threats or anything illegal.  I know none of my readers would stoop so low (except maybe one person, but I already know where to send the cops if anything comes from her) so I'll probably put it on this site first to see how it works, and then push it onto the church's once I'm satisfied it's userfriendly enough. 
    I'm going to learn a new programming language too, by recommendation I'm going to learn perl.  I already know a little about it, but only enough to be slightly dangerous.  It is one of the most flexible languages out there able to easily run on windows and *nix operating systems, but I don't know it like I should.  So stay tuned for some fancy schmancy code samples as I attmept to pump up my perl abilities.
