Go Jen!
So Joni's friend Jen has been looking for a teaching job since she graduated a few months ago. She had primarily concentrated her search up in PA, but with little success, which was strange because not only does she have a bachelors in education from PSU (the best damn school in the country), but she also has a Masters from the University of Scranton also in education. The problem in PA, is they aren't looking for the brightest minds, they're looking for whoever can buy the job. Last I heard, you could spend as much as $60,000 to get a job in areas like Hazleton and the surround, absolute bull-shit if you ask me. We've been trying to convince her to look down here for a job, and this week she finally conceded. Well, Joni and I took it to the next level and helped to get her an interview on Sunday at one of the most prestegious magnet schools in Raleigh. They haven't even interviewed her and are already talking about her starting the day after the interview. Damn we're connected! Thought I'd share that, good luck Jen, see you Sunday!
