Politics as usual

Ok, so a political talk has been a long time and coming!  As you may or may not know I am a Republican, not nearly as extreme as Rush, but you still firmly planted on the right.  I do not believe that homosexuality, I not a fan of charity programs such as welfare, I don't want illegal aliens to have any say in this country.  I believe in America, the pledge of allegiance, the english language, small government, keeping my hard earned money and the preservation of American traditions.
That said, I'm blown away by this current campaign to unseat Bush.  I just don't understand why the Democrat's are constantly claiming that "he lied to us"?  I don't understand how kissing the ass of foreign countries is going to make America a better place?  I'd certainly LOVE to know how Kerry plans on being so much tougher on terror?  And finally I don't see how ANYONE can stand behind a man that clearly doesn't know what he stands for!?!?
I can see changing sides once or twice, I'm still up in the air about abortion, I can argue for it both ways.  But honestly, the man has changed his opinion on damn near everything he's ever believed in!  I think I know why he chose Edwards as his running mate so early in the race....he needed time to see if he wanted to change his mind!
I think these Democrats also need a trip back to school for economics 101.  They are claiming that these tax cuts were designed to give the rich people more money back then the poor people.  Well DUH!  If you make more money...then you're going to pay more taxes, so if a percentage is going to be given back, then naturally 2% off $100,000 is going to be more then 2% of $20,000.  It boils my blood to hear people bitch about how little they got back...you obviously didn't pay enough into it!  You don't like it, get off your ass and better yourself.  Don't stand there with your hand out, do something!
That doesn't even take into account the trickle down effect (and don't pretend that it doesn't exist).  I told joni the other day, that I agree with that 100%.  When we got our tax return back we didn't stuff it under out mattress as the liberals would have you believe...we spent it, and had a damn good time doing it!  I think damn near everyone did, why do you think sales went up, and in return jobs went up, get a clue!
Bottom line, I'll definately be voting for Bush this November, I certainly hope you will too!
