One step closer!

Well, we're one step closer to being home owners.  We went down to the design gallery and made our home selections.  We actually stayed under budget; well under the extended budget.  We upgraded the things that we absolutely wanted, like carpet, carpet pad and appliances, but then we added some extras like the bathroom sink will be 6 inches taller which makes a big difference, we upgraded to oak cabinets with raised panels, an arch at the top of each panel and crown moulding.  We weren't originally going to have any hardwood, but we saw what they had and the price was actually reasonable so we'll have 3/4" oak hardwood floors in the foyer, dining room, and hallway leading to the living room.  I can't even remember what else we added, but we did good!

Jen did not get the job she interviewed for yesterday, she was in the top two but in the end the principal decided the other candidate was a better fit.  I still think she'll find something this week.  I'll keep praying and she'll keep interviewing.  They will post more jobs tomorrow and I think that will be the batch that will work out for her!  In the mean time Joni wants to go do something unique to Raleigh, only I don't really know anything unique to this area.  I suppose we might check out the "Live at five" downtown, but I don't know if that is still going on since school technically starts tomorrow here.

I keep getting phone calls from local recruiters that claim they are finding my resume in their database...I wonder what the hell database they are looking at.  I haven't applied for a job in like 6 months and pulled my resume from monster so I don't know where they are getting my number from, maybe my webpage, but why lie?  Why not just say "We found your resume on your website" instead of making up the bullshit story.  I'm not looking for a job right now anyway..I like my current job.  Oh well, maybe if I don't call them back enough they'll get the hint.
