Day 1
Well, my first day is quickly winding down and I
must say I'm quite impressed! The entire setup needs a TON of
work, but that will certainly keep the need for a Systems Administrator
high. I got my two workstations in place, only have one running
(the windoze box unfortunately), I will bring my KVM in tomorrow and
get the linux box up and running and then be able to be slightly more
productive. I was a little bummed out to find out that I won't be
getting a laptop from them (at least not right away) but that gives us
an excuse to start shopping!
I have this Blackberry device they forced on me, and while it is a neat device the novelty wore off in about five minutes. Who wants to use a phone with out a send and end button. It's just clumsy overall. I'm going to switch the SIM card out with my i95 and will use that from now on, so I'll probably disconnect my old number. I'll give out the new one to those who need it, but because of the traffic on this site (160 unique hits in only 10 days!) I don't want to post it here. Maybe I'll write one of those handy little contact me things for the website and you can email me that way, who knows. At any rate, it's close enough to quittin' time for me so I am outa here!
