Diets Suck!

03/10/04 @ 12:26 am · By Steve Hoffman · Comments (0) · Leave one
I had been doing the Atkins diet for some time (I think roughly seven months) in which time I lost a significant amount of weight, almost 40 lbs.  Unfortunately the last three months was what those in the diet world call a "plateau" and regardless of what I did, I couldn't break the cycle.  We started playing raquetball three times a week and towards the end of the diet I upped it to four times a week, but to no avail.  I have since switched to weight watchers, I figured that I was already disciplined enough to not over eat so instead of cutting out breads I would cut out everything else.  You can, I'm sure, sense the scarcasm.  Weight watchers sucks!  There are no good foods I can eat.  What the hell good is being able to eat bread if I can't eat peanut butter?  I can eat a bagle, but can't butter it.  I started walking during lunch today, I only went for 15 minutes today, but tomorrow I'll do a half hour, eventually I'll do two miles a day.
In work news, I'll be cleaning out my office tomorrow, it is absolutely huge, and all mine!  Not that I'll need them, but I'll have 8 ethernet ports.  I'm going to have to buy some sort of shelving to get all my harware organized, and I'll need lots of velcro.  I don't know how they can have so many cables, but no velcro?!?!  I'll whip this office into shape yet!
