What a weekend, it went off without a hitch.  Despite what we'd seen in the A&E show "Airline", our trip with SouthWest airlines was great.  The hotel was absolutely amazing, probably one of the nicest I've ever been in!  And the view from our window on the 20th floor was just awesome!  It was good to see our friends Ben, Dayita and Ashleigh again, we always have such a good time. 

They didn't get in until Saturday morning so Joni and I did a little exploring on Friday night, found a few places we wanted to go on Saturday then went back to the hotel room and watched a little TV and got a good night's sleep.  Saturday morning we went to find a place for breakfast and ended up at a little yuppie shop a few blocks over and had one of the best breakfast's I've eaten in a long time!  The only thing that stunk was the OJ was fresh squeezed, which meant tons of pulp..and I don't like pulp!  When the the group got there we spent a little time catching up and then hit the town running...or walking. And not just a little walking...many miles of walking. 

I've been to Philly before, but never really saw much or learned anything.  I was actually amazed at the history of that town.  I've learned and saw things that are actually becoming interesting to me.  This part gets a little sappy so read at your own risk....  I've actually been lucky enough to see and do things by age 25 that most people will never get the chance to do.  I've been to countries and seen history that most will only ever read about, if that...  my biggest regret is that I didn't appriciate most of it.  I think that's why I enjoy all the trips we take and I don't mind sight seeing.  Just something to think about.  I guess I have a new found appreciation for the past.
