Doh!
So I was building a new system at work Thursday, it
wasn't to be anything fancy, your basic workstation. I got all
the hardware together and installed, hooked up all the connections and
plugged it in....oops....aparently they had a bad surge protector, it
wasn't labled and was in the box of surge protectors. Needless to
say, I blew the breaker, and not just for my office, but aparently for
the CFO's office too...smooth Steve. Aparently the way this
buildling works is all the breakers are in the basement somewhere and
only the real estate company has access to it, so I went to get the
power turned on thinking this could be resolved quickly. To make
a long story short, it took those boneheads two days to flip a
breaker?!?! I could have done it in seconds.
I suppose the upside to it was I am completely moved into my new office, I have a few large cases to get rid of then I can bring in my workbench to do installs and builds. I unfortunately have to go in today to finish work that I couldn't because of the prolonged power outage. I don't have much left to do, but still, its saturday!?!?
