House

Well, they were true to their word! We went and visited our house tonight and boy was it exciting. As we drove up the hill toward our house I think both of our hearts about jumped out of our chests as we saw a house up and framed except for the roof! But then my first thought was "Boy I wish I got pictures of the intermediate steps". And then our second thought was "Man I guess we should be looking at the right house!"

The good news is that the four houses on the street that have to be finished before ours are all just about up and framed. Two are about framed completely and two are more than halfway done. The other good news is that our sub floor is completely finished! They also have all the walls in piles around the foundation just waiting to be raised. Although we don't have any sections of the roof laying around, there is the tar paper waiting that has to go down before the shingles do! We are certainly one step closer! By the time we get home on Sunday from PA, our house should be just about completely up.

Ah yes, we are off on our last big trip of the year before the Holidays! My friend Cristen is getting married this weekend. (Congratulations!) And although the wedding should be a ton of fun, I am not looking forward to the 10 hour ride. I am looking forward however to October when we get to see family but they are coming to visit us (its about time!!!j/k).  Both of our parents are coming to see us in October, but hopefully on different weekends unless all 4 of them plan on sharing a bed!
