Ray and Martha came over tonight to pick up Jennifer.  We told them we'd watch her while they went to a dinner with our new preacher at church.  Anyway, we got to talking after a while and the subject of VPN's came up.  Now I don't claim to be an expert on VPN (Virtual Private Networks), but odds are highly in my favor that I know more about them then you do.  Well, Ray knows more about them then I do and in fact was able to set straight a few misconceptions I had on the subject.  So much so that I am going to revisit the idea and could conceivably have a working VPN up and running in the matter of a few days!  I really can't wait to try this out...It's going to take all the strength I have NOT to go to work on Sunday and work on this!  It's a good thing we have plans all day tomorrow! 

I'm counting down my last 45 minutes before I have to goto the datacenter and do weekly maintenance.  I've done most of the work already, all the updates were loaded but the machines have to be bounced and I prefer to be there when that happens...just in case!  It shouldn't take me more then half an hour...if everything goes smoothly...which I reeeeealy hope it does.
