What about me?!?!
So it seems now Scott (my brother-in-law) now has the opportunity to
meet the president! I don't know all the details, but according
to the tour calendar, he'll be stopping in Philadelphia tomorrow at
2:45, so I'd imagine that's where they'll meet. The only thing I
can think of that would be a higher honor then meeting the president,
is having him invite you to the white house! There is a rally
here in NC, but it's this Saturday and I'll be trekking up to Richmond
to do a little furniture shopping with Joni, my mother and brother so
I'll probably not get to see him there. I still haven't received
the pictures from my sister yet, I've already sent a threatening letter
to her informing her of the bodily harm that will likely result if I
don't get those pictures soon. You two had better appreciate the
opportunity you have here!
In case you're wondering, I'm back to work today and feeling worlds better. I think the worst of it was probably Thursday, but Friday was no walk in the park. I have to thank my wonderful wife for taking care of me in my weakened state. It's so nice to be sick and not have to go it alone; I only hope that she doesn't get what I had!
The fair is in town right now and I think we're going to make our first appearance on Wednesday night. I've invited Jess (who is a friend and fellow PSU Alumni), Andre (co-worker) and his wife. If none of them want to go then I could care less, but we'll be there enjoying all the wacky fried foods. Bill went last night and dined on a fried cheeseburger, and his wife had a fried moon-pie, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can get pretty much anything fried, and I have every intention of sampling quite a bit of it. I'll run it off eventually!
