Sad day...
Well, I just finished listing our PSU v OSU tickets on ebay. I
wish there was a way that I could go to that game I *was* looking so
forward to it before I was shot down. Now I'm just plain
mad. Not mad because I got them, mad because I know that a number
of people had to back out BEFORE he called me to announce my
victory. We wrote the check out a long time ago, and when they
cashed it I sent him an email:
I'll probably use the proceeds from the ebay auction to join the gym in my building. It's getting a little too chilly outside to be running. I don't mind the cold so much as the feeling my lungs and nasal passage exude when breathing as deeply as I do. I'm actually attributing my latest bout with a cold to the...well, cold! I'm sure they are mutually exclusive and I have some schmuck who came to work sick to blame for my illness, but this helps me to justify the cost to join. I'm waiting to hear when our lease is up though as I don't want to commit to a 6 month membership if we're only going to be here for 3 months.
We're going to the fair tonight. We bought a book and a half of ride tickets from a friend so we're going to go and have some fun tonight! The weather is gloomy, not rainy, but not sunny so I hope that it at least holds out and doesn't get worse. We'll bring the camera, but we haven't charged the battery in a while so I don't expect it will last long. I can taste the fried twinkie already!
George,
Can't wait for the game this weekend! One question though, We saw that our $120 check was cashed, does that mean that it's safe to assume we'll be getting tickets to the Ohio State game?

Steve,
No it's not. We cash checks when we get them and issue refund checks to those members who's requests we can't fill. We've been forced into this because some folks, in the past, have backed out of their requests. To be honest, I'd say your chances are slim, unless the team does poorly or someone can't use their tickets at the last minute.
You see my point? I just don't understand why the would wait
until the last possible minute to decide who gets the tickets...that
dialog took place on August 30...a MONTH AND A HALF AGO! I don't
know, from what I've seen on ebay I may make out on the deal, but all I
really care about is getting our money back. Not going to spend
much more time worrying about it. No it's not. We cash checks when we get them and issue refund checks to those members who's requests we can't fill.
