Penn State
So I was reading the Centre Daily Times online today and came across an
article about the Penn State offensive line. It turns out that
for the past two days the entire offensive line has been sitting just
ouside the Nittany apartment complex on campus unable to get into their
apartments. Aparently some students played a trick on the team
and painted a goal line all around the complex and none of the offense
could cross it! <ba dum bum, clang>
I actually heard that on the radio this morning, here in NC...damn we suck! I went to the post office this morning to mail out the OSU tickets and the redneck civil servant even made fun of my alma mata! It's really getting quite shameful. Now I will give kudos to the Defense, I saw they held the number 25 team in the country to only two field goals AND produced two safeties! Mean while the offense couldn't even kick a fieldgoal...congratulations losers!
With some good news, I did manage to sell the PSU/OSU tickets for over $150, so we made about $35 bucks on them! Some OSU fan bought them for whatever reason and even through a jab at me (he reminded Penn State to bring their offense to the game), but whatever...I got paid and that was all I cared about!
All the visiting is over now, and we did have a great weekend! Joni got to spend time with her family and then we got to see my parents for a while as well. Did a little furniture shopping in VA, but that was a lost cause! We only found one piece that we liked and it was a coffee table. I guess there were others, but they were so awfully expensive that we knew it would never happen. The quality time was the nice part, we got to hang out with my youngest brother and mother for the whole day and I enjoyed that.
After the shopping excursion we went to the fair again with my family and Joni's and I think we all had a great time. You could tell we were going to when we found a choice parking space right off the bat! I have a few pictures that I'll post when I get around to it, maybe tonight...I just don't know.
House update: NOT A DAMN THING HAPPENED! They still haven't installed the half wall in the master bathroom which I'm getting a little impatient for. I expect it will happen today, but who knows. Now that Joni's chiropractor appts are down to two a week we'll be going up there on different days so maybe we'll see more action? We did meet our next door neighbors, they seemed like a really nice family. They have two young children that seemed well behaved so we'll see how it goes being neighbors.
This is getting a little long so I'm just going to stop here...lots more happened this weekend, but I'll get to that some other time...maybe.
