And the winner is...
Don't you just hate the suspense? I was up until 3 a.m. last
night following the election results as if my very life depended on it,
which it may! Brett is up in Ohio and he and I made fun of John
Kerry, John Edwards, Dan Rather and anyone else CBS could muster up to
make an appearance. Their coverage was really quite pathetic...I
was originally watching Fox News which was great with the exception
that their website was about half an hour behind the TV
predictions. But Rather was just horrible...you could tell he was
deathly afraid of predicting ANYTHING, should have shown that restraint
earlier and you wouldn't be in that prediciment. So we're in a
holding pattern now...not much we can do but sit and wait...sounds alot
like last night! I think the majority of the country knows that a
Kerry win is, well not likely, of course the Kerry campaign feels a
little different. I wish NM and IA would remove thier craniums
from the mouth of their large intestine and certify their ballots
already...I thought they were supposed to call it by 8:00, but that's
come and gone. They would both make up for the loss of NH and not
just ensure...but *guarentee* a GOP victory once OH is conceeded by
Kerry. I don't have too much more to say then you already know,
but I want to make a comment on Senator "Gone" Edwards...I thought you
said the south was your back yard....seems to me that no one likes you
in your back yard!
Enough politicin', we went up to the house last night and guess what; the driveway has been poured and it's full size! That was a $1200 freebie! <cue the monster garage freebie music> We immediately went to the office and asked them about the knee wall and closets since they had already poured the concrete and couldn't reneg on it. The sales rep will email the builder and he should get his shit together soon. We also asked for a more definitive closing date so we could plan our move better. I hope they say Dec. 1, but I won't hold my breath. Well, I'm gonna get my ass to work, but I don't know how much I'll accomplish this morning with the election looming over my head.
