John Edwards
I've been asked by several friends and family members about John
Edwards, rather then send out a bulk email and piss everyone for
SPAMing them, I'll just put it here for all to understand/enjoy.
Sen. John Edwards (D) is the freshman senator from NC who committed early to his bid for the presidency and gave up his seat on the US Senate. After failing to obtain the Democratic nomination for president he was selected as Sen. John Kerry's (D) running mate. After the results of last night's election, it is all but certain that the Democrats lost that seat in the house to republican congressman Richard Burr (R) in a decisive victory over Erskin Bowles (D), giving the GOP even more power in the legislative branch of government. So everyone wants to know what he's going to do now... The short answer: "I don't know". I can tell you this..he's done in politics here in NC. For the past year and a half he did absolutely nothing for this state, other then spend the money we paid him to represent us. He showed up for few votes, did not maintain reliable office hours and was basically unreachable by anyone who didn't want to talk about the presidency, basically he completely shunned the position for which we elected him to. I think when the Kerry/Edwards concession press conference happens sometime today (they've already pushed it back by an hour), we may know more. Perhaps he'll go back to being a trial lawyer or become legal counsel for some company, but like I said...he's now un-electable in this state.
