Try it again!
Well, I'm going to try this
again...if something should come up this time...I won't be making a
third attempt. You'll just have to rely on the pictures I've
posted to get an understanding of how my weekend went. I'm
installing Fedora Core 3 on my laptop as we speak so this post will
probably take some serious time to come to fruition as that technically
has my undivided attention.
So on to my weekend. It was *awsome*! I had such a good time and I think Joni enjoyed seeing a little bit of what Charleston has to offer. We barely scrapped the surface when it comes to all the culture in that area, but it gives us plenty of reasons to come back! I'm going to recap the weekend completely out of order, but you'll still get a feel for how the time went. Mom, Michael, Joni and I all went into downtown charleston and walked the market, took a carriage ride and finished the day with dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Yes that's the one modeled after the movie. I also got to spend time with Dad, we installed an AC unit at their church which ate up an afternoon. I never got to fix their phone in the FROG, but I'll make that a priority on my next trip. I saw my mother's classroom finally, and I even fixed her printer problem. Grandma came over for a little while when they ousted her from her house so I got to spend some time with her. The only person I didn't get to hang out with as much as I would have liked to is Robbie. I'll make up for that over Thanksgiving. I plan on taking him to Dave and Busters in Marietta GA and having a little fun.
Michael's game was a lot of fun, especially since he won. I can't wait until next year when he's on the Varsity team! I've got lots of pictures of just about everything we did so feel free to go look at them under Trips. There's also a fresh batch of pictures of the house there; it looks like they are about to start the finishing phase. It really won't be much longer now! I won't spoil it by telling what you can see for yourself. So go look...
