Rivalry weekend
I think it really should have been called Steve's Weekend! Every
team I picked to win...won! I should have bet the farm, but I'm
not really a gambling man so I guess it's better I didn't. So my
Lions not only won, but embarrased Michigan State shattering their
hopes for a bowl game! Mills finished with the fanfare I think he
deserved and JoePa can hold his head high going into the off
season. I'm not going to rant and rave about how next season will
be the one...but I hope it will. The entire D will be
returning (minus one or two) and the young offense will be a year older
and wiser. The only mistake the team can make is to put Robinson
in at QB...I think he's a great back and receiver and he should be
allowed to focus on that. Get hot shot Morelli in thier to
produce...and for the love of god, get him a tutor so he can play
ball!
Enough about football, if you wanted to know how everything played out yesterday, you'd have been glued to the TV like I was. We looked at all our options and decided on a financing company for the house. We're going to go with the builders mortgage broker even though our payment will be $20 higher then our credit union (the lowest amount), but they are giving us $7,000 towards the house and it would take 5-8 years to recoup that savings at the CU. We went there this weekend and saw they put the linoleum down in all the rooms that will have it, I'll expect the hardwood flooring or appliances to go in next and the carpet will be last. We're really not to far off now, just need to find a competent/inexpensive inspector to take a look at the place before we close.
I got all my work done this weekend and the two servers I slaved over for two days are screaming! I will call Dell at 11:00 this morning and start harassing the hell out of them. I'm going to try to get some sort of credit from them for completely screwing us on this, especially since I'm purchasing a laptop today from them (no, this isn't the one I'm getting). I'm sure gonna rack up the miles this week. nearly 2K and I don't have to pay a penny of it! Gotta love being able to use a personal credit card for company purchases!
