Inspection

02/03/05 @ 2:56 pm · By Steve Hoffman · Comments (0) · Leave one
We have a fire inspection today...don't ask me how I know...a birdie told me and that's all you need to know about that.  So I was busy yesterday finding out just how many ways we are in violation of local codes.  All in all, I'd say we'd get an A-, there was only four or five places I had to correct.  I took care of one of them...the other one will have to wait and see what the inspector says.  He'll probably be a hard ass and have to come back to reinspect our servers because we have large UPS's that we plug a powerstrip into...and technically that's called "piggybacking".  But how the hell else are we supposed to do it?  Colin doesn't think he'll say much but I'm just waiting for it.

I didn't get much accomplished last night...when I say "much" I mean anything.  We did have a good time with Ray and Martha, but at the expense of work.  So in addition to fire preparation I had to scramble to find a mouse for one of the new guys.  Not quite the excitement I expected on a rainy Thursday.  I finally got my performance review scheduled so I should hopefully be getting a decent raise next week, if not expect to hear about how the new job hunt is going.

It looks like we won't be going camping for Memorial day, at least not with the whole family.  I'm going to try to put together a smaller trip with my parents, Ray and Martha, and possibly Joni's cousin's from Mebane and Charlotte.  There's a campground in the Charlotte area that would probably be equal distance from everyone.  If you want to go also, let me know!
