Pride in craftsmanship
We just finished making what I consider to be the finest work bench this side of the Atlantic. It's really a thing of beauty. I can't take full credit for it, against her will, Joni helped me with it. She was right there the whole time getting her hands dirty. I basically built it from what I envisioned as the ideal work bench. It's roughly 42 inches tall which seems high but it's the perfect height to work on stuff. I made it about a foot and a half wide so there's plenty of room front to back, but not too much that it's sticking out so far from the wall. There's also a sub-shelf, it isn't a full 8 ft long, I shaved roughly 30 inches off to make room for a future purchase...a rolling tool chest! I also got an early birthday present...40 hangers for pegboard...so naturally we needed to buy some pegboard, which we did. That's installed too! It looks so nice. Tomorrow I'm going to do some work on my RC truck...like finish the body I started almost 4 months ago...Joni also wants me to get started making the shot glass rack...which I'll need to get started on.
