We made it back to...errr...cloudy North Carolina in one piece, which obviously means that we made it TO Pennsylvania ok.  It took a while, but at the wee early hour of 4:30am we pulled into my aunt and uncle's driveway.  The driving wasn't terrible, for someone as good as I am in inclement weather anyway, it was quite funny how the snow was heaviest in DC and MD, but the second we crossed into PA..it all went to shit.  It was good to be back among people who had a clue how to drive in snow so we didn't get held up once.  That's not saying that there weren't any accidents, but there were no instances of 16 miles taking 6 hours

I did have a great time while in PA, I got to hang out with my redneck family (they didn't always used to be like that), but Uncle Cletus and Aunt Sue Ellen...I mean Uncle Pete and Aunt Thomi-Lyn.  We went to the Arena-cross and even though I was denied the opportunity to gaze upon Mrs Arena-cross' beauty (read boobs) I had a great time and so did everyone else.  I did leave the camera behind so I don't have a single picture of crashes or high flying action, but the images of dozens of mullets are burned into the back of my mind's eye.  It gets me incredibly homesick for PA every time I visit and I'm sure Joni gets that way too, I wish there were more job opportunities in that area, but Wilkes Barre/Scranton just doesn't have anything to offer in our field.  So in roughly 5 years we'll be Philly bound.

Lots more went on there, but I don't have time to post it all right now.  Today...well according to the state, tomorrow is Joni's birthday and I'm going to take her to Carabas Italian Grille.  She's been wanting to go there for some time now and I've always talked her out of it, so since it's her day...she wins.  Buon Giorno!
