Stuffed!
Phew...gotta let my belt out a few notches...I'm stuffed. I just
had barbeque wings from Randy's Pizza and as always they were
great! Lunch is just about over now and even though I feel like
doing nothing, I've got so much crap piled up that I can't afford not
to keep working. I don't think I posted here about our upcoming
move...well, we are moving. Not ME, but my company, to a larger
office across town, oh and it's like $6/sq ft cheaper so it's a good
move. The only caveat, and you know there was going to be one, is
that they designated ME to be the project manager for the move.
The only thing I'm not responsible for is choosing the cubicles, but
every other aspect of this move is my responsibility (Funny, I thought
my title was Systems Administrator). Anyway, I don't mind the
extra responsibility, in fact I kind of enjoy the pressure...plus no
one will think anything of it when I blow up at a nagging customer
service rep for asking me the same damn question every day for a
week. I've got to keep track of everything I do for the move as
I'm supposed to present this to our company officers every other week,
although I've yet to sit them all down.
Aside from that, we've completely tore up the floor in the Kitchen and breakfast area. We're down to the wood right now and will start laying the hardy backer tonight, after I spend about an hour with everyone for Greg's farewell. We purchased most of the stuff we'll need last night, all but the tile itself, which Joni's going to pick up tonight. I think we can have most of the backer board down tonight and we'll finish the rest tomorrow while my folks are enroute. This job is going to take a while, but that's mainly because the tile needs so much time to set. The actual labor should be fairly easy!
