I think I'm dying...or at least I wish I was.  For the past two straight days we've been preparing and tiling our kitchen floor and while the results are turning out quite nice, I'm wondering if it is worth the agony.  My knee's creak every time I stand up, my back hurts to even thing about bending over and my feet feel like someone smacked them with a hammer and we're only halfway done with the whole process.  Yesterday it took all day to lay the hardy-backer (cement board) and Joni and I did that by ourselves.  Today, with the help of my father and brother, Robbie, we managed to get 80% of the area tiled and should be able to knock the rest out in a matter of a few hours tomorrow.  Then after two days of cooling off, we'll be able to grout, then the next day we can seal it.  We won't be able to put all our furniture back until Wednesday night!?!?  We were initially way over budget, but seeing how much stuff we have left over is at least a good sign.  I think we may get away with being just a few hundred over (we were originally roughly $500 over).  We've been photo-documenting the whole process, but that won't do it justice...you'll just have to come over and see it!
