The meal last night was simply wonderful!  The bread was wonderful (sorry Dr. Atkins), the crab stuffed mushrooms were delicious, the Riesling (sp?) was perfect, the steak was huge and so juicy, the lobster tail was enormous, and the pecan pie a-la-mode was decadent, the service was second to none and the atmosphere was perfect.  What a great place!  The only problem...I handed him my $200 gift card for a $162 tab, told him to put the full $200 on there and keep the change, he then came back and said my $200 card only had $100....DOH!  I think there was a mix up somewhere at their gift card fulfillment center, although I'm not sure...just cleared that up...the gift card WAS purchased for $200, I just got the wrong card.  Bastards!  So now the problem is...someone got my gift card....they purchased a $100 card..and received a $200 card...which now has $0 because I told the restaurant they needed to use the $200 card.  I'm going to call the gift card services today to give them the heads up.  I doubt they'll do anything about it though.  At least I didn't have to pay the balance...even though I was prepared to.
