I have to admit, that all things considered, today was a pretty good day!  I got quite a bit accomplished, managed to vent lots of frustration to Road Runner Tech Support, resolved several network problems, add network printers, punched holes in a firewall (iptables, not those pansie-ass home firewalls) and helped an old man in Oregon get re-connected to the world! 
    Still, the day is not over, so the possibility exists that something could go terribly wrong.  For instance, I have a meeting at 7 with a web designer who will undertake the task of beautifying a website I manage for a local church.  I'm no graphics person (which should be abundantly evident from this site) so I don't mind so much the help, I just don't seem to see eye to eye with the church rep (who has taken it upon himself to become said rep, even though they have an elder in the church responsible for the site).  His view of how wording should be and mine differ greatly.  I try to be patient, but sometimes it isn't easy (he clearly knows dick about computers). 
    I put return labels on nearly 100 invitations last night, then I put stamps on most of them.  That was excitement at its best, let me tell you!  I also got my first paycheck today at the new job, for three weeks here I got paid for 4.5 weeks at my old job...wait until I've worked here a full month!  I'm still stuck at work right now, there isn't much point to me driving home only to come right back for this meeting, so I am gonna watch the Simpsons on the 48" plasma TV, while playing a game of pool...What a perk!
