Wild blue yonder!

Leaving for Dayton Beach in less then 12 hours, got Debbie's graduation present all ready to go!  Bags are completely packed, need to get more cash, not that we ever use cash anyway, but still...  I'm hoping that the airline will work with us on the return trip...but they probably won't.  We leave Daytona Beach at 5:30am and go to Atlanta...where I have family, and my aunt just had a baby.  We don't depart Atlanta until 11 something, but there is a much later flight that we're going to beg they let us on.  We may have to pay $25 each to get on the 5pm flight home, but we won't be able to even try that until Sunday...I'll check and see if they're space available on that flight that morning and if so...maybe we can find a sympathetic ticketing agent...lets hope.  If we just change our flight they want $50 each...and that's just retarded!

I didn't get to go bike shopping last night, although I reeeealy wanted to.  Joni's co-workers wanted to go out for drinks last night so drank until around 9ish.  I really am disappointed at how lightweight everyone is...we only ran up about a $130 tab for 7 people...in the college days that would have been a $400 bill...I know..we've done it many a time!  I think I only put my foot in my mouth once..which was enough.  I think Joni's really going to miss them all, but I keep telling her that it's not like they'll never see each other again...we're not moving away, just taking a different job.  I still see my friends from IBM, in fact, Hector and I are going golfing next weekend.

I think I got my bonus for coordinating the move at work...and I think I'm incredibly disappointed.  Colin came to me the other day and said to take my wife out to a nice dinner and expense it.  A showing of their appreciation...my month and a half of pulling double duty (my normal job, plus the move) is worth a fucking dinner?  I don't understand why upper management (with their $120+K salaries) is so damn cheap.  I know we are a small company and all, but give me a break.  I'm not asking for a chunk of the $1 million they just received in funding...merely a sliver.  My hopes are resting with Steve from Southeast (our venture capital firm) and whether or not he lives up to his promise of a bonus.  Enough ranting for today...gotta go to Lowes....
