Going to Charlotte tomorrow...yipee.  I picked up the Uhaul today and backed into the driveway, I bet all the neighbors thing we're moving...morons.  I had originally made the reservations to pick the trailer up in Charlotte and just drop it off here, but they called to tell me that there wasn't one in the area.  I bitched but they reminded me that there are no guarentees for reservations made less then 48 hours in advance.  So I called around here in Raleigh and it turns out that it's $75 cheaper to rent and return it here then to pickup in Charlotte and return here?!?!  I'm sure I'll make up for it in gas...

I spent the better part of today looking for ways to performance tweak our servers, I found several things I hadn't thought of before, but still have a ways to go before I find the one that will boost all the speed issues...Colin and I brainstormed a bit, but really didn't come up with much that I didn't already think of.  We've just been getting alot of complaints about speed issues and while I'm sure <sarcasm> the developers are working to solve the application level issues, I'd like to think that there's something I can do to make it faster.  That sarcasm remark was just for you Bill.  Anywho,  I found a book online all about tweaking system performance for both Linux and Windows based machines, I will thumb through it if I can find one at B&N otherwise I'll just buy it.  But it'll have to wait...right now I have an almost $10,000 credit card bill...sadly only $1500 is mine...but all the miles are mine too!!!  That's almost a plane ticket right there, giddyup!
