Weekend Recap

Yet another good weekend in the books!  We got to spend a little time with Joni's cousin, aunt and uncle...very little.  They were here long enough for a tour of the house and a drink then off again, but they'll be back.  Later that night we decided to go out in dad's boat for a bit, we got all our stuff together and gassed up the boat and headed for falls lake.  Unfortunately, North Carolina doesn't feel the same way most other states do and doesn't put up signs for a public boat launch.  So we drove...a lot...never actually found the launch that day.  When we got home, wounded pride and all, we looked online for nearly an hour before we found a site that showed precisely where the launch was.  Sunday afternoon, we found it!  We cruised around the lake for about an hour or so, swam for a bit, then drove some more...all in all we were there for nearly 3 hours.

While we were out boating we decided that I really want a bike, of course we already knew that.  I sort of unilaterally decided that if this next effort to buy my gixxer doesn't work then we'll cut bait on the bike idea and posibly look into getting a pair of Jet Skis.  I know Joni would enjoy them more then a bike.  The only reason we haven't done that already is because I know it would bother me to buy something that we can only use 5 months a year...but have to pay for it year round.  At least with a bike I can use it for 9 maybe 10 months.  We'll see.

We also broke down and turned on the AC today, only to find out that our upstairs unit isn't working.  We called the company that installed it only to find out that they never put freon in it.  Well, I pointed it out to the builder that our home inspector said the AC wasn't working upstairs.  They're answer was that it was only hooked up the day before and they hadn't had a chance to finish, he also added that because it was so cold outside we wouldn't be able to feel cold air coming out.  Damn Liars!  Anywho, the AC guy is coming over tomorrow morning at 10:30 to rectify the situation.  I will say this...the AC feels great!
