Routing blues
Why does IP routing always give me such heartache? I can never seem to get it right on the first try...or second try or twenty-third for that matter. I now have two networks at work...a nice little redundancy feature, only they are two separate networks. So if you're on network one, in order to get to network two your information has to go all the way to Atlanta GA and back. Not smart considering they are within inches of each other. The answer, at least I think it's the answer, is a network bridge. It's basically a set of routing instructions that tell each network about the other network..the problem is I really don't know how to configure it...but I'm working on it. I'm going to do some heavy reading this weekend on bridging on the Cisco 2600 which is an able bodied piece of equipment. We'll see who ends up winning..me or the router...
