Drinking and Driving....
simply don't mix...especially when you're on a 9 hour trip. No I
wasn't knocking one back on the road...shame on you for even thinking
that. We stopped at our friend, Dayita's house last night on our
way up to PA. We figured we'd have a few drinks but nothing too
serious...a 12 pack later...I was lit! There was a time when I
was double fisting with a Yeungling in one hand and a
vodka/OJ/Cran-berry juice concoction in the other. We went to bed
around 3:30ish and had to get up at 6am. I wasn't drunk anymore,
but I was in pretty bad shape. I drove for about 10 miles then
pulled over and let Joni drive. I figured it was safer to be a
passenger throwing up then the driver. I never did puke, but I
sure did sleep for almost all the remaining 5 hours of the trip and
damn did I wake up with a headache! Needless to say I'm in PA
now, and after a long day of driving we also finished Joni's dad's back
porch. This is a project we started a year ago when we were here
for the wedding, today we put the finishing touches on the railing and
it's ready for prime time. We're going to have a BBQ out there on
Monday before I take Joni to the airport.
I got a new phone the other day, my work phone was a piece of shit and constantly froze on me. My new one is bad ass...the Audiovox VX6600 PDA Camera phone, it truly puts my old blackberry to shame. I'm working on a webpage that will let you get my new number...unfortunately you'll need to know my old phone number to get the new one...otherwise you can email/IM/call me at home for the new one. Go here to get the new number.
