Jack-ass of all trades

So let me see, I'm a Systems Administrator, technical support, maintenance supervisor, project manager, event coordinator, electrician, mover...oh, and assitant to Bill.  I think I'm going to need a bigger hat rack to hang all the different hats!  Last night I had to stay a few more hours at work and run electricity for the security camera I installed in the office.  The installation went smoothly and looks quite professional to boot!  So the office cam is now functioning...I can't give out the address because it's not a webcam, but a live cam so the bandwidth usage can be pretty high, but you can see things with about a half second delay.  It wasn't a bad purchase either...I only paid $100 for it and it's loaded with stuff like night vision and motion sensors.  They also have a wireless version for like $25 more, but I wasn't interested in that.

I'm getting more and more excited about the Vegas trip in February.  Joni and I decided that for Presidents day weekend we'd each take an extra day off work and go for 4 days and 4 nights.  And we'll jump from hotel to hotel.   I know for sure one night is at the Bellagio and another will be at the Venetian.  I'd also like to stay at the Luxor, but I think the first two hotels will put a hurting on our budget so we'll probably have to go budget for one or two nights, but still we'll get the whole experience including the Hoover Damn's Hard Hat tour a few other touristy attractions.

This weekend we're supposed to be going to Oriental NC with Joni's Cousins for a weekend on the Outer Banks, but Jason is still trying to switch days off so that might not happen.  We don't really know if this is going to happen yet, but if it doesn't we'll just have her cousins come here for the weekend and we'll go to the lake every day.  That is of course provided that sheetz messed up their sign.  I drove by last night and they had gas for $2.99!!!  In one day it went up $.54...the funny thing is the other gas station near us only went up $.10.  I hope they just screwed up, I don't know if I can handle 3 bucks/gallon...I may start walking everywhere!

It was no fluke..Sheets is still selling gas for $2.99 today. No you should be careful in Atlanta because I heard that the oil pipeline that brings the oil in for your area is down and most places will run out of gas by day's end! Good thing you filled up already!
Gas price gouging? · 09/01/05 @ 12:29 am · Aunt Pat
I thought I'd look back a few weeks from now to think $2.69 was a bargain. It only took a few hours. The news, Chris, and a co-worker of Marty's all report that gas had jumped up to $3.79 on the way home and there are lines too. It's happening in Charleston too.
