I know my cousin occasionally reads my blog...I know my aunt does religiously, but my cousin is the one I don't want to spoil anything for.  I know what he's getting for Christmas (I don't know if he does or not) but I'm certainly excited about it!  So in a sly manner...Aunty, if there's anything he still needs, let me know and I'll pick it up for him!  I may have already said too much...

As for the fair last night...ehh...it's lost it's thrill...I suppose it's like Disney.  It'll be fun again when we have kids, but I just wasn't feeling it last night.  For one, the company that won the contract sucked.  The midway was certainly larger, but their rides were all beat to shit and better then 50% of the lights were burnt out.  The ferris wheel looked retarded...it looked like a tire that was missing spokes...MANY spokes.  The carney's were your typical traveling bunch...no dirtier or cleaner then any other, but instead of making the atmosphere as fun as you can, it was lets cram as much crap as we possibly can into the fairgrounds.  Walking through the game section reminded  me of old Tom and Jerry cartoons...  You know when the cat chased the mouse from oneside of the house to the other you'd see the same scenery repeated over and over and over again...well that's what the fair was like.  Squirtgun game, basketball game, pop balloons with a dart, shoot out the star, knock down the bottles...repeat...  Even the food wasn't all that exciting..we did have an order of fried Oreos, but they were too sweet this year.  I didn't even have an Italian sausage which is almost tradition for me.  Nope..this year we brought WAY too much money, but you'll never hear me complain about having cash left over!

Bottom line...if you have kids between 4 and 13 it might be worth going just for something to do, if you don't...then make it a Blockbuster night.
