I've been called out.  My aunt pointed out to me her disappointment with me not posting as often as I should be and she's right.  Unfortunately I've had to just about completely stop posting about what goes on at work because of an old friend.  He had a blog and was posting his dissatisfaction with his manager and management team in general, well somehow it got back to the bosses and that ended his employment at that company.  Well in the past I've been pretty critical of our company (in some search scenarios I've ranked higher then our site did) and I'd really rather not get fired.  If I leave it will be a mutual thing.  I know this is some violation of my first amendment rights, but as I see it that right comes with certain responsibilities especially considering I'm not speaking out against my government.  So the point is...so much of my day takes place at work and when I'm finished censoring myself, there's not much of a post left.  I'll try to do better though there's always something worth talking about...whether or not it's worth reading about I don't know.

We had a great weekend, just the right balance of bustle and relaxation.  We bought over $200 worth of curtains and rods for the living and dining rooms and I have to admit they look great (you'll just have to come visit if you want to see).  I was not all that excited about curtains, but I'm hoping that since we bought thicker ones they'll hold the heat in better (and it almost feels like they are).  We've still got one more window to cover downstairs, but are having a tough time finding a set that goes with our tan floor, blue couches, yellow wall and that doesn't clash with our forest green kitchen.  We found one set that *sort* of did, but they were like $50/panel and we'd need 3 of them.  Too much! 

Saturday we went to a UNC football game and got to sit in the VIP box with Jonathan and Emily.  It was my first time at a college football game other then Penn State, let alone sitting with the president of Krispy Kreme doughnuts or the UNC basketball coach.  One of the guys asked me what I thought of the seats and I told him "Well, we've certainly sat this high up before, but never lived like this!"  It was very much like our NC State basketball game last season, only on a much larger scale.  Free food and drinks, great view, comfortable chairs and LOTS of sweater-vests!  Unfortunately UNC lost in a very close match by what I consider a HUGE coaching mistake, however Jonathan considers it my fault.  As such, Joni will be invited back, but it seems I won't. 

Finally, we went to Hima's housewarming party yesterday after what seemed to be the longest church service in the history of time (sorry God!).  I think she had a pretty good turnout, but bought enough food to feed a large army.  They had all kinds of goodies to eat and boy did we eat!  I think this is going to be a recurring thing where every time I go over to their house I kick myself in the ass for not prewiring for surround sound.  It's going to be a real pain in the ass to do it now that the walls are in, but damn does it look good!  The upstairs won't be too bad, but the downstairs is going to be a HUGE undertaking.  Not to mention trying to get an overhead light in the dining room.  Lessons learned when purchasing your first home, we'll do better next time.
