I guess it is a big flaw of mine, also the reason I'll never be a teacher of any sort.  I just don't have patience for a lot of things: mothers who won't take their crying children out during church, intelligent adults giving up on a problem before really even looking at it, most every driver on the road in NC, and people who aren't punctual!  There's plenty more, but this could end up running far longer then it needs to.  I'm stuck here waiting for our new office furniture to be delivered.  It is technically scheduled to be here between 8 and 12, but it's already 10:30 and I would really rather have gotten this out of the way by now.  I want to start a few projects that I've had lined up for a while, but don't want to get ass deep into them and have to stop to play traffic cop with the installers. 

I've been selected to be project manager for an integration project we're doing with another company.  I don't know if I was chosen because of me...or because everyone else is busy..I'd like to think the former, but I'm sure it's probably the latter.  Anyway, it doesn't matter.  The task isn't that difficult as a whole..it's just getting the details ironed out that is proving to be the hard part.  I have a meeting scheduled for Friday to get feedback from our side then I'll take that to the other side and go from there.  I really should get myself a hat that says "Project Manager" don't you think?

The other undertaking I'm staring at is a Domain Controller migration.  I'm going to catch all kinds of hell from the Linux community, but I'm more about choosing the best tool for the job, NOT "it has to be Linux". So I'm going to move away from a Samba Domain Controller, over to an Active Directory.  We're getting large enough now that management is becoming a nightmare for all the employees and while Linux does in fact rock...Active Directory is just a better tool for the job and will come in even more handy when we take over the hosting of our exchange email (which isn't going away).  I've got the controller setup, now I just need to figure out the best way to migrate 25 computers over to the new domain without trashing profiles and the like.  Isn't my job wonderful?
