So I'm sure you all wanted to know how thanksgiving went..and wait no more...it went absolutely wonderful!  There were a few times when I thought for sure that the shit was going to hit the fan, but no one ever even came close to losing a temper.  Not that I expected it to happen, but the stress of preparing a meal for 20+ people had me worried for Joni.  Thankfully, we won't be doing that again for a few years!

FYI, our piece of shit (but no transmission fluid leak) Cavalier still has a starting issue...I've pissed away almost $300 on finding and fixing that problem..but no luck. The damn thing wouldn't start this morning no matter how hard I kicked, shook, prodded and poked.  So I ended up taking the Durango...waiting until I got home to worry about the car.  When I got home, however, the damn car started on the first try..well, my first try.  Joni said she tried to start it, but it didn't for her either (even with a bunch of kicking and stomping).  I almost don't care anymore...

Work has yet to settle down...things just keep coming almost faster then I can deal with them.  It doesn't help that I also bear the burden of maintenance man for the office.  I really don't mind it though, hearing people say that it's beneath me to do, makes me realize that is a big part of what's wrong with this country.  I still remember the question that Josh asked me during my interview at IBM: "If I handed you a broom and said to start sweeping, what would you say?"  I have always been the type of person that says, OK and gets the job done.  It'll pay off some day...hopefully sooner then later!
