I was not kidnapped!
I got an email from my Aunt this morning wondering if I was
kidnapped...well I wasn't. All is well and I'm back in NC safe
and sound!
The trade show was a huge success...not only did we exceed our show goals, but met the entire months goals as well...and there's still half a month left. There were times that we had people lined up to sign up. What a huge difference from last year! My feet still hurt like hell..but I suppose standing for 9 straight hours a day will do that. I had to admit to Joni that she was right about me needing new dress shoes...or at least the comfort inserts.
I'm so glad we went to Joni's grandparents afterwards though. The rest and relaxation was exactly what I needed and I know that if we'd gone home I would have ended up going somewhere and doing something other then relaxing. The only hitch the entire week was the plane ride back. In hindsight it was so minor that it's hardly worth mentioning. Suffice it to say that we tried to get to Atlanta on an earlier flight so we could call my aunt or uncle to see if either could make it to the airport for some fine dining. Well, Atlanta had other ideas for us. Once we all boarded the plane we find out (after being told we weren't going to be allowed to take an earlier flight due to a checked bag) Atlanta wouldn't clear us for takeoff for another hour due to air traffic. So we sat on a plane for nearly an hour before it even pushed back. This now meant that we had a mere 15 minutes to go from one end of the airport to the other to catch the connection and we just made it. Miracle upon miracles...our luggage made it to!
So we're back in the saddle again and wishing it was two weeks from now when we get another weekend of relaxation, only this time in Myrtle Beach for some Golfing(me) and Scrap booking(Joni)!
