Well, we filed our taxes tonight...in the middle of the Super Bowl no less.  We took the advice of those who left comments and used TaxAct online and Turbo Tax and got identical results...it's not worth paying any more to have H&R Block tell us the same thing and charge us more for it.  I never thought I'd say it, but I'm kinda glad we have a mortgage because if not for being able to deduct our mortgage interest we'd have owed the Fed's nearly $1000...and that would suck!  So we're not getting a Pete and Thomi-lyn refund, but it'll pay off the furniture, get Joni her screen door we'll probably put whatever's left towards the car or Jet Skis.  By the way, if you're looking for a place to file..I'd highly recommend TaxAct, we paid $12.95 to file our Federal and State refunds, while Turbo Tax wanted $20 just for federal...and we'll get the same fast service and direct deposit...can't beat it.
