One piece
I'm still alive and in one piece! We had a great time at Snowshoe
and I'm so looking forward to going back in less then a month...well
except for the drive part. I got a nice little trade show bonus
from work and decided to take half that money and spend it on new boots
and bindings (I want the step ins, regardless of what anyone says about
them) and the rest we donated to the youth group so it will hopefully
send two kids who otherwise couldn't afford to go on the ski
trip. If not we told the youth leader to use it as he sees
fit. I got a bunch of "Awwwww"'s from people at work when I told
them what I was doing with it...I thought it was a worth while
donation. Anyway I did have a good time, I strained my knee a
little from maneuvering the snowboard with one leg for two days every
time I went up the lift with a skier, I really only went down 4 or 5
times on day two as I was nearly in tears the whole lift ride up from
the pain. I sure entertained Tracie though, she still laughing at
my reaction every time the lift ground to a halt with me in midair
cursing the newbies who couldn't properly dismount from a lift.
In spite of that we had fun and it sure was nice to have the weekend to
recover.
When I got back, Joni had a small shindig with her friends from her old job to celebrate my birthday...er pool table (inside joke). We had a seafood extravaganza that actually came out tasting mighty good and I have left overs for lunch today! We had Cajun salmon and shrimp, stuffed clams, fried rice and green beans topped of with some chocolate lovers cake! Mmmm mmm! Because of our guests coming over it motivated us to "field day" the house which is now sparkling clean. Yesterday was merely a relax day..Ray and the girls came over after a great lunch at Five Guys Burgers and just hung out for the afternoon. That's the kind of Sunday I like...no running around, just relaxing.
Lets see, what else have you all missed...well, my birthday is Wednesday...I'll be hitting the ripe old age of 27..sounds old, but I'm still the youngest at the company...someday that'll change. Oh yes..Vegas in a mere 4 days! This week is going to be hell just because of the anticipation! I want to go now, but we just can't. I'll have to tough it out.
