VOIP
Well, our new VOIP is all setup and running. Our phone number
even ported over successfully so there's no change as far as anyone
else is concerned. We should see a 50% reduction in our monthly
phone bill since we almost never use that line. We get 500
minutes a month for 14.99 and we'll be lucky to hit half that, since
long distance is free we even cancelled our long distance and local
long distance service. We've had it for almost a week now and
have used roughly 15 minutes. What kicks ass about it, is that
when we get a voicemail or call, I can check it online and see who it
was, listen to their message and all sorts of other great stuff.
I just hated clicking the "pay" button every month knowing that Sprint
was getting so much money for providing nothing more then a dialtone
and caller ID. Besides a security system, the line is really only
for collection agencies to call for whatever mexican decided to use our
number for. We had a great one the other night. We got a
call from some collection agency informing us how important it was we
clear this matter up, we only stay on the line to try and get a person
to inform them there is no Allexander Adjulard at this number; well
this time we held on the line for the next rep only to be told that the
offices were closed...THEY CALLED US...WHY HAVE THE COMPUTER CALL WHEN
YOUR NOT OPEN!?!?
Anyway, the fam was in this weekend for a nice birthday surprise, I knew something was up...although I commend Robbie on his master planning. Joni told me all about the dark room dealings in the weeks prior. We had a good time just hanging out as a family and boy did we put some miles on the pool table! We've also got our new storm door installed and I just love it! We took about 2.5 -3 hours to get it installed and it's absolutely perfect! We left the front door open yesterday and it lets soo much light in the house and even with the wind howling we didn't feel any drafts coming from it. When everyone left we did a few more random projects like hanging shelves in the pool room, and the "parking ball" in the garage. It was an extremely productive weekend if I do say so myself.
