It was a rough week what can I say...since I've deprived you of my goings on most of the week I figured I'd shoot out a quick weekend post to bring you all up to speed.  Just a little about work...still no employee review, but we have a major release this weekend so I'm trying to be understanding, if it goes well then there's no excuses next week.  I took a sneak peek at salary.com to see where I *should* be...so depressing.  We'll just see if our new CEO is true to his word and attempts to get people up to a competitive salary.  It's not that we don't make a good living, but I could go just about anywhere else and make quite a bit more.  In all honesty though as long as they don't insult me like they did last time around I'll be ok...and if not..maybe I'll give the "Big M" a call (that was for you Sean). 

I'm still not quite over the firing of an employee, but there's really not much I can do now.  I said my piece to management (in a good, constructive way) so maybe that will help. 

On the home front we've got our first home repair issue, naturally after the 1 year warranty runs out, but it's nothing major.  We had a piece of siding fall off, well partially fall off; the only issue is that it is the top piece, 25 ft in the air.  So we rented a ladder the other day and put it back up.  I returned the ladder and went to work only to get a call from Joni half an hour later telling me that it fell again.  I'm not going to pay for a new ladder so we'll either borrow one or rent it again.  This time I'll be going up with the drill and a few screws.  Fortunately, since it's the top piece I can hide the screws under the trim piece and no one will ever know it's there...
