Fedora Core 5

03/23/06 @ 1:22 am · By Steve Hoffman · Comments (1) · Leave one
I've not been able to post these past few days as I've been swamped during the day with our fledgling release and then coming home to get the new Fedora Core installed.  I can't really talk about the release here, but I can say that the FC5 kicks ass!  There's a slight hint of me kicking ass too.  For instance, I'm not posting this over wireless using WPA encryption (that has taken me months to figure out); I can check my exchange email with Evolution; Once I got the audio working I also got Linux to play the internet radio station I listen to every day (this to has taken me months of banging my head).  Tomorrow I'll get my blue-tooth keyboard and mouse working again and I should be all set.  I always talk about writing a FAQ...but I'm sure something will come up and I'll never get around to it.

We still haven't fixed that damn piece of siding..we were close today, but my darling wife didn't come home when she said she would so I had no one to hold the ladder.  To motivate her to leave work on time tomorrow I told her that whether or not she's home I'm going up the ladder to fix it.  If we can get it done early enough we can return the ladder we borrowed before we go shopping tomorrow night.  I don't want to become known as those people who borrow something and take forever to return it.  We had an excuse the first part of the week as it rained cats and dogs...but that ship has sailed so time to get our act together.

I will collect your FAQ's and HOWTOs then add them to the bible as the Book of Steve.
