Well, we're totally getting ripped of by a local repair shop...serves me right for going for convenience over someone I trust.  My buddy Rob turned me on to a mechanic in Wake Forest who does great work and at a great price, only we'd have to drop the car off with him.   Well that would cut into our busy schedules too much so we decided to take the car to the place across the street from Joni's office.  They said they found the problem, we're aparently leaking freon...I don't buy it, but whatever...just fill it, we can't be without AC in the south.  The part that pisses me off is that they didn't bother to ask us if we wanted the work done before just doing it and charging me twice what I would normally pay.  To top it all off..we need new tires on that car..so there goes more money...I'm looking for a $50 problem so I can round out today's expenses to a handsom $500.

I feel your pain, man. That's why I bought gauges,a case of R134,and a vacumm pump.I wish you were closer, we could charge you up over a beer one afternoon for nada. Don't let those bills get you down just wait til you have six hungry grateful mouths to feed:)

Turns out the mechanic was on crack when he gave Joni a quote on some of the extra work. He wants to charge us $190 to replace a resistor in the dash. Even though the day before he told her that it would be no more then $35 to find and replace. Then the tires we got put on today were $10/tire more then we were told over the phone, but that was Sam's club this time. Needless to say as soon as the bill posts to the credit card I'll be doing a little bashing here. Joni won't tell me the name of the company though as she's afraid I'll call or worse, go down there.
