I'm back
Sorry I haven't posted in the past few days, but I was out of town, out
of state actually. I wend to SC for the holiday weekend and spent
some quality time with my brothers. At the risk of sounding
sappy, the relationship I have with my brothers reminds me a lot of my
fathers relationship with his. No matter how long between visits
we get back together and it's like we've been that way the whole
time. So we played a few dozen holes of golf this
weekend...naturally I won! We swam in the frigid Atlantic Ocean
and oggled half naked women. We turned wrenches and ate like
kings and just "hung out". I'm glad I went down. The only
problem was it was too short.
We had friends over yesterday for Easter and after that I've decided to just pony up the money and get an irrigation system installed. We took the girls out back to let them run in the sprinkler, but it didn't take long before one complained they couldn't walk through the yard because it hurt her feet. It's true...the grass is non-existent, we just have rock and clay (that's as hard as concrete). I've sucked it up and made some calls today and will be talking to some landscapers tomorrow. I don't think this will really increase the property value, but our yard is less then desirable now so the curb appeal would go way up with a green lawn. Not that we're selling the house, I just don't like to make improvements that are frivolous. I'll keep you posted on the progress. I hope you all had a Happy Easter!
