Back from the deep south!
Well, our weekend was a success, almost...We went to
Charelston, SC to visit my parents. I think both Joni and I had a
good time. I'm sure Joni would have had more fun if she didn't
have to take homework with her, but in one week and one day we won't
have to worry about that any more. My dad wasn't there, he had
some sort of men's retreat to goto for the church and since he's the
president of the church elders, he had to be there.
The reason the trip was only almost a success was because I didn't get my truck...I don't know if I told you all, but I want to buy a RC truck. It is actually quite similar to the my buddy "Brown-eye" or Chris has, but this will be four wheel drive. I've been eyeing it up for some time now, but just haven't made the plunge, mainly because I couldn't justify spending that kind of money. Well I have since come to the conclusion that Dean and Jeremy were right; and I need a hobby other then computers. I love computers and won't give them up, but it's really all I do. I work on computers for 8 hours a day at work, and then when I get home...I'm right back on the computer hacking away. This would serve two fold, getting me away from the computer and getting me outside. With no yard to work on or garage to work in, there isn't much reason to go outside at our apartment (that'll change in 8 months though). Back to the truck; when we got to Hobbytown USA, supposedly they carry the best prices in hobbies anywhere, that is painfully untrue. They wanted almost $60 more then I can get it on ebay for (still new in box) and that even includes shipping, not to mention no tax! So I waited...I'll probably order one tonight or tomorrow and with any luck I'll get it by the end of the week.
Wedding is still on track and more people have replied. I think we're up to 60 people and we only sent the invitations out two weeks ago! Joni got all (or most) of the place cards she wanted for the seating so as soon as we get a final head count..we'll get to start filling them out. Time is flying...sorry ladies, I'll be off the market soon!
