De-listed
Well, it seems I've angered some of my faithful followers. Bill
exclaimed to me the other day that I have been de-listed due to
inadequate posting. I'm so ashamed of myself and as such I'll
give the remaining few a gem of a post....the Weekend Update!
This was actually a great weekend, Joni went up to PA for her sisters bridal shower (that's not what made it great by the way) so to occupy my time I went to Tony's Oyster Bar Friday night and got my self a little drunk. Since I was the DD for the night I had to spend three hours in a bar drinking sprite to sober back up to drive the rest home at two in the morning. I think that may have had something to do with my incredible hang over the following day, which started a mere 3.5 hours after the previous one ended. I met Jonathan at 8am on Saturday for golf at the Chapel Hill Country Club, but since McD's doesn't start selling the double cheeseburger until 10:30, I was stuck with a throbbing headache for most of the morning.
Golf was great though! JP decided to bet me a dollar a hole and nearly lost his shirt! I shot a 91, which isn't spectacular, but it would easily have been an 87 if not for two holes that just crushed me. I'm no where near the scores I used to shoot in college, but getting to play golf every day for free allows you to get pretty good at it...when it costs you $40-60 a round, you tend not to go as much. It's a shame because I really love to golf, Joni is encouraging though and wants me to go more often, but I just never seem to have the time. Anyway, I passed out at about 9:30pm on Saturday and didn't wake up until 11ish the next morning and then pretty much loafed around the house all day Sunday.
I was supposed to pick Joni up at 10:20 at the airport, but due to weather she didn't get in until after midnight and we didn't get to bed until 2am or thereabouts. It sucked, but at least she's home in one piece. That brings me to today....
In the words of Dante from Clerks, "I'm not even supposed to be here today". Today was a scheduled vacation day for me, but Joe wanted to have a meeting with me about an employee and since I didn't put it on my calendar, he scheduled a meeting for today (did I mention he's not here yet today). So it doesn't look like our little pow wow is going to happen today, but I guess it's just the same as we're having phone system trouble again. A tech is supposed to be on his way out, but hasn't got here yet and is quickly running out of time.
So there you go...my weekend in a nutshell...it looks like we'll be hitting the lake tomorrow for a day of fun in the sun...I need it!
