The Stars at Night...
are deep and bright....DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
Yes..I'm in TX right now, at a customer's site doing some troubleshooting..and doing it successfully I might add. They've been having some issues that we can't reproduce in our office and at the risk of losing a great customer, I hopped on a plane and 6 hours later...here I am in San Antonio.
Aside from the issues that our customer is having, I think this is a great area..there's so much going on all the time. If I weren't so beat from travel I could have had one hell of a night on the town. There is a bar in every direction and they're right when they say everything is bigger in Texas...it really is (sadly so is the price). The highways are bigger, the stores are bigger...the traffic is larger in volume. The coolest thing I've found is they have a dedicated "Turn around" lane, not a jug handle like in Jersey, but a special lane for making a U-turn with no light! It's a little weird in that the stop lights are turned on their side, supposedly for the color blind...don't buy that one, and the highway exits aren't what you'd normally expect, but I could probably get used to it.
I'm only about 10 minutes from the Alamo, but sadly I won't have enough time to see it as I'm on a plan in 5.5 hours. Anyway, I'll be back in Raleigh by midnight and back to the grind from there. Just thought you all might want to know!
