Back in the saddle again

Well, we're back in NC after a wonderful and relaxing holiday; of course it wasn't long enough, but then again, they never are.  Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful, that was the first time in as long as I can remember that I didn't walk away from the table so stuffed I could barely move...who actually loses weight over a Thanksgiving holiday?  Joni had a good shower, I'm still getting emails and comments from family that they had such a good time and the games were the best they'd ever played.  Kudos to my sister-in-law for coming up with them all.

The baptism was Sunday morning and we now make up 2/3 of Logan's godparents.  It was a nice service and Logan was totally cooperative...until the very end.  I think he got tired of being held by the Pastor because the moment his dad took him he was all smiles again.  Funny kid.

We had a good time with both families, being so far away we only get to see them once or twice a year so we try to cram as much visiting in whenever we go.  I'm amazed at how much all the kids have grown, particularly my cousins, Pete and Bryan.  Like little weeds!

Anyway, it's good to be home and getting back into the swing of things even if that means getting back to work.  Joni had a dr appt today and everything is on track and looking good.  There is dispute between doctors about how far along she is, everything about the baby says he's actually a month further along then they predicted, but they won't change the due date because it's within the margin of error.  We're prepared for a early/mid January baby though, this could throw a kink into things, but what can you do?  We may not be able to go with our first choice daycare, but the second choice is fine by us since they were so close anyway.  We have another ultrasound in a few weeks so maybe we'll pony up and get the 3D picture this time.  Ok, going back to watching Hockey...Go Canes!
