In case you're wondering what on earth I'm doing up at nearly 1am, wonder no more..I'm in the process of becoming a father!  Not that I'm doing much at this point.  Wiping forehead, feeding ice chips and that sort.  I really feel powerless at this point, thankfully they just gave her the epidural and it seems to be kicking in nicely.  She's a much happier person right now, but having a hard time staying awake.  The nurse said it was a good thing if she were to take a nap as things are progressing nicely.  The only thing we really have to worry about from here is the actual labor part.  I have no doubt she'll do fine, but still the unknown always makes you nervous.

I actually think my nerves are doing pretty well at this point.  My mother in law is more frazzled then I am and she's been through this 5 times now (4 on her own and one as a spectator).  I'm not sure at what point the Dr will be here, but I'm sure he's on his way...or at least considering it...

Yeah, she just had a massive contraction (according to the monitor) and really didn't even know she had one...boy does that stuff work!  Ok..back to my husbandly duties!  Stay tuned for pictures!
