Ouch!

Zack had his two month checkup yesterday and is progressing VERY well.  He weighs 11lbs 13oz which is right at the fiftieth percentile, his height, however is 23 inches, which puts him just above the 85th %ile mark.  Yep..he's going to be gooney like his mother !  The doctor was quite pleased with his progress and gave us a few more samples of the oh so expensive formula he's on (not to mention three more coupons for a free case of the stuff!!!).  Then comes the painful part...immunization time!  Joni said Zack was all smiles throughout the whole visit and was just as happy as could be when she started stripping him down (he loves to be naked) then came the needle to the thigh.  Now I wasn't there for this, but Joni said the moment that cruel slender piece of metal came in contact with his leg, his face went from a warm fleshtone to the ripest tomato you've ever seen, his mouth opened wider then ever before and his little tongue was suspended perfectly between his top and bottom gums, only the sounds he was emmitting were clearly of a frequency that no human can hear as he was perfectly silent...or perhaps screaming beyond the sonic barrier?  As soon as the shots were done Joni scooped him up and held him tight until he stopped crying, but when she laid him down 10 minutes later to put his pants back on, he started wailing again.  Joni made it clear to me that I have to take him for shots from now on.

Poor little buddy. Those shots are not fun and don't get any better as they get older either. I hope he's back to his old self today.
